July 2010

Bellydance your way to:

  • Unique individuality
  • Renewed and Positive self esteem,
  • Build self confidence and
  • Love your body again!   You've heard this all before.......

The word Bellydance carries a few different perceptions for the public, fans and students of the art.  For some, the moves in belly are used in a pelvic and, therefore,  clearly defined sexual manner.  For trained  teachers, who teach the true authenticity of bellydance, an art form, the more subtle, sensual individuality in expression of the art, carries much more grace and true feminine power.
The reason I started  teaching belly dance, as an expression of a woman's unique individuality, in 1997, was simply that there was a demand from fellow students of the art for me to share what I uniquely expressed  in performances.
In order to focus my ever evolving syllabus effectively,  and to use and channel this information appropriatley, I have done much research over the years into movement and dance therapy, energy centres of the body, related emotional, mental and spirituality bodies, for better understanding, to grow and emphasising the blatantly obvious deeper positive outcomes, (ripple side effects), experienced by  students. These added value benefits are often on a very subtle yet profound level.
The reason I teach willing teachers and students belly dance today, is the unique subtle ability of the art, IF guided correctly, by a suitably trained teacher, to open up, shift and heal, all areas of challenges in the body.  The personal growth and healing in the teaching style I have created, brings out each teacher's strengths and students' phenomenal individuality!
When developing the very first Jewels of the Nile syllabus, all those years back, the defining question for me was: Would you(and Jewels students) like to be one of the masses, or do you want to stand out as the unique individual that you are,  and have loads more fun?

SO...Why dance?  BECAUSE...Smile and the whole world smiles with you - We will teach you how to smile with your whole body - Dance, Giggle, Wiggle and Whoosh your way to inspired and motivated inner joy.
